St. Dunstan’s Parish Picnic: Sunday, September 24

From Mike White’s Facebook Wall:

It was a beautiful day for a picnic yesterday!

There were plenty of people, smiling faces,

hamburgers, hot dogs, cold treats and,

of course, chocolate yesterday at the St Dunstan’s Basilica Annual Parish Picnic.

Many Knights were out to help with the food preparation,

cooking, serving, set up, music and clean up.

Day of Prayer for Peace and Reconciliation

Dear Brother Knights:

This Aug. 15, on the Solemnity of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Knights around the world are encouraged to pray for their respective countries as part of an Orderwide Day of Prayer for Peace and Reconciliation.

Supreme Knight Carl Anderson called for the Aug. 15 observance during the 135th Supreme Convention in St. Louis. Citing the recent increase in political violence, including the shooting of members of Congress last June on a baseball field outside of Washington, D.C., he said:

“Violence and the rhetoric of violence have no place as a style of politics in America or any other country. … I call upon all my brother Knights and their families to again seek the intercession of Mary, Queen of Peace.”
